Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern

Quite strong history, different cultures tracks behind of its history when passed to Ottoman empire crown from Byzantine empire, everybody waged war and set their hearts for this glorious city. At the end in 1453 that beautiful city has conqured by Ottoman Empire.

From past to today there are lots of people histories has under this land which has not came today but has drawn, seen, heard or happened. Many stories of those unknown people may become lost but carried on spirit of İstanbul’s shoulders.

If you see every shades of blue and get news from the seagulls that means you mention about istanbul.

A civilisation city İstanbul opens gates to the end of all cultures hospitably; the sounds of azan from all seven hills also accepts all religions and shows us how live all together freely.
The city is more crowded than some countries. Considering 15 millon people take a breath and even the hard life conditions however the city is as loam as all that population can be feed.

It keeps all on going and feels like If İstanbul does not live non of the other cities will live. There are many other beauty things inhold and does not want to move somewhere even if you get piss off.

Bosphorus (Bebek Shores)

The closest point to bosphorus spirit is Bebek shores. Once I walk on the shore I walk along yachts, I sniff chesnuts and the sea without mixing those , look at the lights of bridge and think over my life, my faults,my future.
The “bebek kahvesi” is a place where I prefer to pass my time by seafront. A little expensive but drinking 2 cups of tea is much more enjoyable and in the mean time Rumeli Castle winks at me.

Rumeli Castle made by Fatih Sultan Mehmet to defend İstanbul during war. In the past, it is made for bombing foreign ships to block out access to city’s land. In these days this historical place using for movie shooting, organisations etc.

In Beşiktaş district there are many pearls such as Dolmabahçe palace, Çırağan palace, Yıldız park. As and when I walk along the Galatasaray university, I always grumble myself about why I did not have my best to get accepted that university 🙂

You should walking kuzguncuk streets and enjoy the old restaurants 🙂

Dolmabahce palace

In the Ottoman era, each of sultans demolished Çırağan palace and made over this building. Eventually after sultan Abdulhamid was used for first turkish parliament.
No longer a private company manage this building as a hotel, restaurant and private events. It is a glory palace. In tulip era, palace was used for entertainments, cultural activites therefore the name “Çırağan” means “light”.

You should go Dolmabahçe Palace

Lion gate, seafront and tables, wall tableaux, carpets windows and especially tableaux has painted by frank artists attracts notice. This palace is also did not know the really value in the past too.

You should know before you go, you need a tourist guide 😉

Dolmabahçe is very special of us. It carry value of everyones heart and we all feel lucky and appreciate to thim of his principals.

Should have a breakfast in Bosphorus. Turkish breakfast is very rich and different from all countries.

Must go the historical hamams and have a hot bath.

See the bosphorus coasts by boat tours.

Use Eyüp to Üsküdar ferry and while affloat order tea and get your simit and look the sky.

Try hukka in Beyazıt Çorlulu Ali Paşa cafe.
Visit Rahmi Koç, Sakıp Sabancı museums. ( Rahmi koç is a private industrial museum. You will find many classical cars from past . Also Aviation Automotive, Railed systems and many of other you should see.)
